UGH! Not again

Published by bridgetg03 under Uncategorized Edit This

So my dog is sick AGAIN.  Or should I say still?  Not sure yet.  He hasn’t been eating well for the last week and a half and about 2 days ago has stopped eating his food at all.  Our vet charges $78 for an office visit and while the vet around the corner only charges $40 they don’t take care credit so we have to go to ours (which I love anyhow).  All I have to say is my husband works for one of the Big 3, does that explain why we can’t afford it at this point?  UGH!  Another nightmare.

Anyways I get there and he’s lost 6 pounds in about a month (he’s a doberman/shepard mix) and now weighs 89 pounds.   After taking his temp, which was normal, he crapped all over the place.   They say because his symptoms are so vage it could be anything from just a gastro infection to cancer.  YIKES!  So I did the bare minimum we could afford which was a fecal and blood panel ($200).  We really can’t afford that, but we charged it sooo.  Well as I’m waiting there I was thinking, there needs to be some kind of assistance for people like us.  We aren’t necessarily poor, however, we are experiencing financial hardship.  I don’t want to just neglect my pet, like some do.  Does anybody know of an organization that offers assistance such as this?  If so let me know.  I’m considering starting something locally myself and see how it works.  Ok, I’ve rambled enough :)
